I was awakened this morning at 5:54am to a text message from my long time friend Amy Woodford, announcing the birth of her son. Amy is the blond pictured above sporting maternity wear for Target stores. Amy is considered one of my all time favorite models, we have collaborated on many projects in New York and Minneapolis, both professional and personal work. Congratulation's Amy!

For the past two years I have been teaching fashion photography at the College of Visual Arts in St.Paul. This week, my long time friend, Aaron Thomas, traveled from Los Angeles, to guest lecture with my class. Aaron recently has been working on a collection of photography, depicting industrial landscapes of airports. It was interesting to hear him discuss his vision, and his take on the "loneliness of airports".

René and I enjoyed a Christmas eve walk along the low tides of the beach today. Due to a full moon, extremely low tides allowed us to witness baby dolphins swimming 20 feet from the shore line. If the surf temperature was warmer, there is no doubt, René would have swam along.

American Medical News Magazine brought me to my transplanted home of Charleston, SC. I made a portrait of a doctor, dealing with torture victoms seeking asylm, in America. My mother assisted me. I was honored to have her along. We ate southern pulled pork sandwhiches after the shoot. Flying home was way more enjoyable than venturing south.
